What the EUG Is All About
Encore Analytics is pleased to announce the 2024 Empower Users' Group (EUG) Workshop. The agenda is still evolving, but we have already lined up a number of great speakers from government organizations and industry who use Empower for program analytics, data-driven audit support, VAR collection, and Corrective Action Tracking. There will also be a number of technical sessions hosted by the Encore Analytics staff to cover advanced topics. The final day will start with what we consider to be the most important session, an open feedback session with our customers to prioritize future software enhancements. Attendees will have the opportunity to influence the future direction of the software during this session. Attendees will also have the opportunity to schedule One-on-One technical support sessions to discuss any software-related topics. It's a great opportunity to meet the technical staff and exchange lessons learned.
If you are interested in presenting at the EUG, please click here to email Encore staff. Presenters receive a special discounted workshop rate but must be pre-approved.
There is a two-day Empower training event just prior to the Workshop. The course covers both basic and advanced features of Empower. Whether you are a current user or want to enhance your knowledge of Empower, we urge you to register for this in-depth class.
There is also a one-day training course focused on utilizing Empower's advanced features the day before the workshop.
Humphreys & Associates will be offering a one-day Scalable EVM course. Refer to the Employer Justification letter for the course agenda.
New this year, the Department of Energy & ASU will host their inaugural IP2M METRR Facilitator Certification course. In this course, you will learn how to facilitate the implementation of the Integrated Project/Program Management (IP2M) Maturity and Environment Total Risk Rating (METRR) tool that is rapidly becoming the default mechanism to assess the effectiveness of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) execution. IP2M METRR’s assessment of EVMS has been statistically correlated with cost and schedule performances. The two-day training is the first step towards certification. It focuses on IP2M METRR implementation and content, including its environment and maturity components, and the facilitation skills for effective assessment sessions, such as the facilitator’s role, how to facilitate a session, and team dynamics. Participants will gain and apply insights on facilitation and the IP2M METRR tool, and complete a written exam. After the training, participants will submit a case study based on a facilitated session experience as the second and final step towards certification. Arizona State University will award the certification upon completing the program (two-day training and case study).
The weeklong EUG is a great opportunity to socialize with other Empower users and, in keeping with tradition, we have a number of fun evening events planned. We hope to see you there!
